Fix Action: The damaged fiber was repaired.
Reason for Outage (RFO) Summary: A fiber cut between Beekmantown, NY and Lachine, Quebec was impacting unprotected Transport services. The damaged fiber was located under the roadway requiring extensive excavations. The damaged fibers were spliced to restore services. If further issues are experienced, please contact the Technical Service Center.

Date: 2015-11-10 18:41:07 UTC The fiber repair team is on-site and has begun excavation activities to locate the damaged fiber under the roadway. Once the damaged fiber has been exposed a fiber repair plan can be formulated. There is no ETR at this time.
Date: 2015-11-10 18:19:09 UTC The fiber repair team remains en route to the site. Field services have advised that the damaged section of fiber is under the roadway and will require road excavation to perform the repairs. Field services are coordinating the repair plan at this time.
Date: 2015-11-10 17:02:46 UTC Field services have identified the location of the fiber cut and determined that it was damaged by boring equipment in the area. A fiber repair team is in en route to begin repair activities. An ETA is currently not available.
